We’re Moving. Should I Rent a Storage Space?

Moving is often a stressful process. Many people find they never knew just how much “stuff” they have until they start packing for a move. One way to ease the stress of a move is to rent an indoor storage space to help you organize and store your belongings.  Our next series of articles will cover some of the reasons why you may wish to rent storage as you begin to plan your next move. Let’s get started:

You Will Have an Interim Move

No matter how hard we try, there are times when an interim move just cannot be avoided.  Perhaps you are building a house that will not be ready by the time you close on your existing one. Or perhaps you have an offer on your home but haven’t found another and will need to make a transitional move. Whatever the case, a climate controlled storage space can hold any or all of your furniture and belongings during a temporary move.

You Plan to Downsize

If you plan to downsize, then climate controlled storage facilities can alleviate much of the stress associated with trying to figure out what to do with the belongings that you don’t want to get rid of or throw away. An indoor storage space is also ideal if you are downsizing but still want to hold on to some items for your adult children who may not have room for them at their current home/apartment.

Our next article will discuss more reasons to rent storage before your next move.
