Avoid These Packing and Indoor Storage Pitfalls
Part Two
We are continuing our series on pitfalls to avoid when packing for your indoor storage space. Our previous article discussed the importance of using quality packing materials. We also covered how not following proper packing etiquette can compromise the content in the boxes you pack. Today, we will take a closer look at two additional pitfalls to avoid when packing items to place in a climate controlled storage space.
Failing to Label and/or Inventory Boxes Being Stored
When you are in the process of packing boxes, it is easy to tell yourself that you will remember what is in each box. However, as time passes, it can be easy to forget. Be sure to clearly label what is inside each box on both the top of the box and the side. This will make it easy to locate items you may need once they are moved to your climate controlled storage space.
Not Organizing Your Storage Space to Access Items Needed
The next pitfall to avoid is not organizing the boxes in your indoor storage space so that items you may need are easily accessible. The last thing you want to have to do is move box after box after box to get to that one box you need in the back. When organizing your climate controlled storage space, be sure to place the boxes you likely will not need to access in the foreseeable future in the back of the unit so other more important items can be easily accessible.
