Myths About Indoor Storage

Myths About Indoor Storage

We are continuing our series of articles addressing some common myths about renting storage.  Our previous article debunked the myths that storage facilities are not secure and that climate controlled storage is extremely expensive.  Today, we will take a look at two more common myths about indoor storage.

“You Don’t Know What Chemicals or Hazardous Materials Are Being Stored Around You”

We understand how this could be a concern, however, at Climate Masters Indoor Storage, chemicals and hazardous materials are strictly prohibited from being stored in our climate controlled storage facilities. So, you don’t need to worry about a chemical spill, leak, or fumes.

“People Live in Indoor Storage Facilities”

This is a common misconception. People are not allowed to live or sleep inside of a  self-storage space.  And, while it may be a climate controlled storage space, there are no windows or light when the door is closed, so the unit itself is very dark. When you rent storage, you don’t have to worry about anyone taking residence in a nearby storage space.

Our next article will discuss more myths about renting storage space.
